*squints*

Okay, when I decided that babysitting/nannying/whatever for Cory and Dani was a good idea for a job, I did NOT expect Savana (the 1-year-old) to be waking up an hour and a half earlier than when I left. She’s also not even bothering to waste any time playing before wanting up, either. So now she’s taking two naps a day instead of one.
As for Shayla (she’s four), there are two shows she likes that make me feel dumber having seen. One is Oobi. Oobi talk funny. Make Randell think Oobi wrote for foreign TV, was translated bad on purpose. And then there’s Boobah. I think it’s meant to be an exercise show for two-year-olds.
And my feet are cold. I need to start wearing socks downstairs.

Oh well. Good with the bad, I suppose.

Did my exercises last night, some ups, some downs.
Crunches are down to 112. I tried going down farther, ‘s why.
I actually got two pull-ups, though I need to work on keeping my legs straight.
Jonathan ran with me last time, managed to get 12:10 on my run! Felt kinda nauseous afterwards, but it was gone after a shower.

I was thinking about some other stuff too, but I forgot what it was. Oh well.

Ah, much better.

Okay, not that I’m not running on fumes and only four hours of sleep a night when I’m used to eight, I’m feeling almost normal.
I didn’t have to redo any of the paperwork, so I got dropped off at the hotel. The next day, I didn’t even have to go through a physical exept a basic height/weight check. I’ll probably always remember when I swore in. It was with a short black gal going into the Army, and I grossed her out by popping my neck. *laughs* Now I need to fill out the job request form, or I go in under an open contract. I think I’ll try to get something either electronic like computer stuffs, or blowing stuff up like ordnance disposal.
After two weeks of pretty much slacking off, I thought I’d do a lot worse yesterday. Oh yeah, I got to work out the evening I got back from MEPS. Still only one pull-up, 120 crunches (got 100 straight though!), and the run was 13:44.

I hope I sleep well tonight.

Figures. The time I have the most amount of waiting time between planes is the time I arrive and leave from the same gate. Other than that, it was uneventful.
I got myself a Game Boy Advance SP and a pair of games, Advance Wars and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.
Advance Wars rocks. Plain and simple.
FFTA... is a bit more childish. The chars still have issues, of course, but there’s no political sidestepping and backstabbing, and it’s a bit shorter. Not to mention the AI is dumb as a brick. Anyone who’s played a bit of it against a White Mage will know what I mean. I have a thick skin when it comes to plots, so the game amuses me anyway. I expect multiplayer to be interesting, though.
I intend to get myself Golden Sun and Fire Emblem, and maybe one of the MMZ games.

Although there has got to be something to do out in Mississippi other than get drunk, wasted, or laid. Revolutions wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Only the finale baffled me, really.
Got in a run, too. Started raining about 1/3 in, but that only got me worked up for some reason.
My grandmother gave me some money. Not too sure what I’m going to do with it.
Oops.
*pets cat*
Ah well. I guess Saber will have to wait. I have to focus to do things. Daniel had his going-away party tonight, so he tried to get me drunk (again). Too bad the hot dogs interfered. Those things don’t stay down for jack.
I seem to have occasional trouble getting some letters right, but ingrained spelling has enabled me to correct these. Yay for the Backspace key.
Anyway, I’m rather buzzed, but I can do most things if I concentrate.
My cheeks feel red. Wow. Cliché sign of a happy drunk if I ever heard one. All I need now is the red nose and I’m set.
Uh, yeah. I told Saber I should be on tonight, but I’ll send him an email about my current condition. I got over that already.
But hot DAMN, I feel GOOD! Did a pull-up and 30 assisted (26 with a forward grip, stopped with 4 more only because I got told to stop), one hundred-twenty one crunches, and ran my mile and a half in 13:09! BOOYAH!
And I’m sticky, and this shirt smells. I’m going to take a shower now.

Shayla’s misbehaving with a vengeance, I think I might be coming down with a head cold, and to top it off I’ve been feeling lethargic and all dream-like all day. I’ve been doing my push-ups, so the blood is flowing. I’ve been eating pretty well, so it’s not that. I even got a little extra shut-eye last night, sleeping in ‘til noon. I figure either the extra sleep is threw me off, I’m messed up and getting sick, or I badly need something to do.

Well, let’s see.
Did a pull-up plus got my chin to the bar for the second one. I may just hit 3 by the time I head out to California yet.
117 proper crunches in two minutes. Pretty awesome. At this rate, I might have great abs.
Did my run in 14:25. Kinda sucks overall, but it’s better than my last two runs. The thing that stands out this time was I was concentrating on how my feet landed, the length of my strides, and I noticed that my legs didn’t ache as much by the time I was done. My lungs burned somethin’ fierce, which means I exercised them today.

Cory picked up Scrabble yesterday, and I’ve not won a game yet. Kinda normal, most of my words score points in the teens.
And I get to sleep in tomorrow! Yay! I was going to today, but Dani was throwing up for some reason. Really weird, since she seems kinda okay now.

Also, tried out Warning Forever and Dope Wars 2.2, both great little ways to kill a few minutes.
Dope Wars 2.2 is a vast improvement over the previous one. The Loan Sharks, buying weapons at leisure, and more cities.
Warning Forever is a goofy name, but hey, it's a Japanese game. It's a top-down shooter a la Raiden, but it's only bosses with some varied modes. The enemy adapts to your style somewhat. Just fun.

They're really screwing with my peripheral vision something fierce, but I'm adapting. Dani and Cory said they're the "movie cliche smart-ass" look, but it's okay. I like them.

Oh! And I'm going back out to California for a week starting on the 9th. Looking forward to that, even though my mom took over my comp.
Well, today was exciting.

Most of today Shayla had the wild-childs. Punching the back of a chair repeatedly, running around, screaming, shrieking, throwing stuff, babbling gibbering jokes that would make sense only to a drugged up person, and harassing her sister and anyone paying attention to her sister in general. Thankfully not all at once.

Come 1900 (gotta get used to that, I suppose) I was worried that my two-day lapse had dented my progress. Got that pull without dragging my knees above my waist this time, and nearly got another! Whoohoo! Add in a perfect 100 crunches in two minutes (100 is a perfect score for crunches in the PFT) and doing half-run-half-jog (walking instead of jogging at the last 1/2) in 14:35, and I’m feelin’ GOOD!

Got home, and Tina (one of the chinchillas) seems to have had babies. She’s got a normal-sized litter of two, and they’re doing just fine.
Need to separate the other female from the two males though. Gah, and she seems to want to find out if my finger is tasty...

*is freaked out*

I'm going through another of my "What the HELL have I DONE?!" phases again. I can tell it's pretty bad this time because I caught myself spacing out staring at the dinner knives and getting very calm yet very afraid. I also had the whole repeating "see imaginary glass breaking against a wall" thing going on too. That hasn't happened in at least a year, maybe two.

I'm dead in the water now. There's won't be any job openings for two to four weeks until those high-school folks start heading off to school/college. I have no idea what to do...
